Bodybuilding is the art and the science of developing your body. Unlike training for sport, the goal in bodybuilding is to achieve a certain appearance. For competitive bodybuilders, strength itself is not as important as size, symmetry and definition. That is not to say bodybuilding will not make you stronger, for the exercises done will certainly develop strength. It’s just that the goal of true bodybuilding is not to increase athletic performance.
